A Different Kind of University
Thompson Rivers University is Based in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada.
Kamloops is a modern city of 85,000 people (including 10,000 students!). The safe, friendly environment of our city, combined with our spectacular natural setting, help to make Kamloops an ideal destination for international students. Kamloops is a 3.5-hour drive or 45-minute flight from Vancouver.
Thompson Rivers University is a unique combination of traditional degree programs, many allowing diploma and certificate program graduates access through laddering, along with flexible degree completion through distance education as the BC Centre for Open Learning.
