LES ELFES
Designed for students from all corners of the world, Les Elfes offer unique and enriching winter camps to young people aged 8 to 18 based in Verbier - one of the most famous resorts in Europe and offers the best in sporting and leisure activities all year round in a cosmopolitan and relaxed atmosphere.



STAFF & SAFETY
The dedicated team is 100% focused on student safety and the smooth running of the activities programme. The camp instructors and sports experts coach the participants in each of their activities. Skiing, snowboarding and certain other sports are only run in suitable weather conditions.

MEALS
Les Elfes Camps offer large buffet breakfasts and varied lunches and dinners designed to satisfy all students. Vegetarian, religious preferences, food allergies and different ethnic diets are catered for.

VERBIER
Verbier is situated in the heart of one of the most beautiful regions of the Swiss Alps. Directly opposite Le Grand Combin, which rises to 4300 m, Verbier's stunning location on a south facing plateau guarantees an exceptionally sunny climate in both summer and winter. The domain comprises more than 450 km of skiing and 3300 metres and has more than 100 ski lifts connecting the four valleys. The high altitude guarantees that there will be snow from December to April. Verbier also has many shops and restaurants, from the most informal to the most sophisticated.



ACCOMMODATION
Les Elfes Camps have two purpose built wood and stone Swiss Alpine style chalets, which are completely equipped for holiday camps:
• Large rooms with 2 to 4 beds and all with ensuite bathrooms.
• Two spacious dining rooms with an open-planned sitting room and an open fireplace leading onto a terrace with a barbecue.
• A library, games hall, cinema, music room, classrooms, conference rooms and internet room.
• A permanently staffed and welcoming reception hall.

ACTIVITIES
The programme for the international Winter camp includes the following activities depending on weather conditions and the length of stay:
• Skiing or snowboarding lessons with qualified instructors;
• Sledging, torch walk, ice-climbing;
• Figure skating, ice hockey, curling;
• Swimming, squash;
• Computing with internet connection with assistance from our instructor.

SAMPLE DAY
Ski and snowboard with a qualified instructor for 3 hours in the morning and again in the afternoon. Have a packed lunch and hot meals in the two mountain restaurants in the middle of the day. After skiing, enjoy afternoon tea before a choice of “aprè –ski” and evening activities. Beside the sports and linguistic activities, other special events (theatre, dance, etc.) and cultural visits are organized by Les Elfes. Their originality and interesting nature contribute to the student's memories of the camp.

SPECIAL EVENTS AND EXCURSIONS
Once a week the students can also go on an excursion to visit famous Swiss cities or France and Italy.

LANGUAGE
The programme includes 8 hours per week of conversational language courses in French, German, English or Spanish. They are not compulsory and take place instead of the “après-ski” activities. Intensive language courses of 15 hours per week can also be selected, which focus on writing and grammar. 3 hours of lessons per day are divided into two parts, with 2 hours devoted to grammar and writing, followed by 1 hour of conversation practice. There is a maximum of 7 students per class for the intensive programme.
