Ivano-Frankovsk National Medical University began to train foreign students in 1992. At that time here studied the citizens of Russia, Romania, Pakistan, and Cameroon. During ten years the amount of the foreign students did not exceed the number of twenty. It was conditioned by some objective reasons. In the times of the Soviet Union Ivano-Frankovsk region was closed for free visiting for the foreign citizens. But Ukraine as a new independent country was famous for its educational services on the world market.

Thanks to the University’s authorities since 2002 the amount of the foreign students has been increasing progressively. In 2008-2009 796 foreign citizens of different countries studied on the faculty. Now we have students from Jordan, Bulgaria, Malaysia, Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, India, Israel, Russia Canada, Poland, Lebanon, Namibia, Egypt, Pakistan, Tanzania, Tunis, Turkey, Turkmenistan etc.

Today Ivano-Frankovsk Medical University is among six higher medical educational establishments of Ukraine, diplomas of which are recognized in Jordan, Palestine and other Oriental countries. The next step is the recognition of our university in the Kingdom of Malaysia.

On the territory of the campus has five dormitories are designed for 1,480 seats. Dorms have a block layout and two dorms are two sets of improved design. Each dormitory resident students one by one, two and three people in the room. On the territory of the campus is: dining room, a sanatorium, medical center, computer room, beauty salon.
